Now, the Chiefs are poised to unleash Votu once again when they welcome Northampton Saints on Saturday (6.30pm).
After a protracted visa process, Votu is clearly keen to make up for lost time and hopes another Exeter outing can put him into the mix for the return to Aviva Premiership action next week at Sale Sharks.
"I really enjoyed playing for Exeter in my first game," said Votu. "It was a tough game for us, but I think I learned a lot of things from it.
"It has been a long time for me to wait to come and play, but now I'm here I am very happy and I want to play as much as I can."
Ahead of the Bath clash, Votu admitted his chatted to compatriot Sireli Naqelevuki about various things to do with the English game, as well as what to expect from the opposition.
"Sireli just told me to play well and play hard," explained Votu. "I was excited to be playing my first game and in the first half I thought we played well. The second half we had a lot of opportunities to score, but we lost the ball and we didn't finish things off.
"I am very happy at the club, I like Exeter very much and the team are very good.
"This week we are at home, so I am really looking forward to playing there. It will be another tough game for us, but hopefully we can play well and get a result."
