If they fail to do this then they will need to outscore Leicester Tigers by at least one match point.
The fixture sees Cipriani return to where it all started - Adams Park - for the first time, the fly-half sitting out Sale's 25-18 Aviva Premiership defeat there earlier in the season.
And while Cipriani will be keen to impress - having picked up 21 points against Scarlets last time out - Miller is adamant it will take a collective effort to keep their hopes of LV= Cup silverware alive.
"Danny is going to be massive over the next couple of weeks - he and the others alongside him, people like Dwayne Peel and Sam Tuitupou inside and outside of him and helping him with that," Miller said.
"He's an exceptional talent like we know and his mind-set - as is everyone's - is all about the team, regardless of who you play.
"It's a previous club, so Danny will want to look to get a good performance and we're all sure he'll do that, but ultimately it's about the team."
While Sale are keeping their fingers crossed that they can book an LV= Cup semi-final berth, London Wasps' hopes ended with a 34-8 defeat at Leicester Tigers - ending a six-game winning run in all competitions in the process.
The writing seems to be on the wall for Sale ahead of their trip south, the Sharks having lost all 11 away games this season and Wasps winning all ten games at Adams Park.
And although their LV= Cup adventure cannot go any further, prop Will Taylor admits no one at the club will be taking things lightly with a proud home record to protect.
"We want to stay undefeated at home and this is what we will be aiming to do in the next game," Taylor said.
"It doesn't matter whether we are playing in the Aviva Premiership or the LV= Cup, that record is something we are proud of and we all want to keep it going for as long as possible.
"We are a really tight-knit group and we all want to keep pushing so we will take that into the Sale game."
