Richard Hill's troops come into the European break on the back of two consecutive defeats in the Aviva Premiership, against bottom side Sale Sharks and then last week a narrow 19-14 home reversal to Leicester Tigers.
Both those defeats have seen the Warriors' top-six challenge falter as they currently sit ninth, a full nine points off sixth-placed Gloucester Rugby.
Clarke started Worcester's defeat against the Tigers last time out, his first start in the Aviva Premiership since October and the former Northampton Saint is itching to set the record straight.
"As a team we have not quite had the luck that we have needed," said Clarke, who signed from Northampton last summer.
"We could easily have won both of those last two games and then look where we would be in the table.
"But you have to take the chances you get and we didn't manage to do that. And that is extremely disappointing for us as a team.
"We need to find a bit more balance between the new attacking style we are introducing and the defensive solidity that we had last season.
"But it will take time, we know that, but all things considered we have lost a lot of close games this season and it could have been so much better.
"From a personal point of view it has been frustrating because I have not been able to show the Warriors' fans what I am capable of.
"A succession of little niggles, first the knee, then the back and also the hamstring, have restricted my involvement.
"But I enjoyed it against Leicester last time out and got involved a lot in what was an excellent first half performance from us."
With four weeks of Amlin Challenge Cup and LV= Cup action to come, Clarke and co have a break from the gruelling nature of the Aviva Premiership.
And Clarke is hoping that a chance to restore some momentum in Europe could help their league form when they travel to Bath at the start of February.
"We would have liked to have taken the win against Leicester into the European break," he added.
"But it was not to be unfortunately, however we must take positives from a losing bonus point which we have done well at grabbing this season.
"If we beat Bath then we will immediately move above them in the table so we need to get in a good place over the next month and attack the league again in February, a lot can change very quickly with it being so competitive."
