Job Description:
Working within a close knit team running Aviva Premiership Rugby, the applicant will work with the Community & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director to develop partnerships, programmes and funding streams to grow Premiership Rugby's social change community campaign.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced community development professional to work as part of a multi-award winning team to help shape the future offering of Premiership Rugby and its member clubs in this space.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating programmes that support Health, Education and Social Change outcomes under a new high profile campaign title to be launched early in 2013 and will be able to demonstrate their proven track record in the following areas;
- Partnership Development - the ability to secure and maintain high level partnerships with a broad range of public, private, 3rd sector organisations NGO's and government departments
- Project Design - an innovative approach to constructing programmes that support educational, health and social change outcomes
- Securing Funding - experience and in depth knowledge of external funding issues with a successful track record of securing funding from bid/proposal writing and lobbying from a wide range of organisations within various sectors
The successful applicant will be a self-starter, pro-active, take ownership of tasks and show initiative to get things done, s/he will show great attention to detail and be highly organised. Good IT skills and excellent written and presentation skills are essential. Knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel are vital.
The Development Manager will be able to communicate confidently at all levels, handle confidential information with discretion and manage a busy workload calmly and efficiently.
This role may involve some weekend working.
Knowledge of the sport of Rugby Union is beneficial but not essential.
Experience of developing community or sports based initiatives is essential.
